Renowned Spanish chef José Andrés is helping to fill your kitchen with some of his favorite flavors. He has unveiled his latest endeavor – a line of food products that includes olive oils, vinegars and capers and ready-to-serve veggies and seafood tapas featuring fish and shellfish from the Spanish seas. Crunchy olive oil potato chips and toasted breads make for the perfect base for Chef Andrés’ snacks. The line, ranging in price from $5-44, is currently available here and is expected to hit the shelves of gourmet retailers this summer.

“Spain is a fascinating mix of people, languages, culture and food, but if there is one thing all Spaniards share, it’s a love of food and drink,” he explained. “My friends there are some of the finest artisans who share in this love, and I can’t wait for you to try their creations.”

At a party celebrating the product line’s launch, Chef Andrés shared some of his favorite recipes using key components of the line, including a delightfully strong selection of purple garlic paired with sautéed shrimp and arroz con almejas – a rice and razor clam dish perfect as a light starter year-round or summer-time meal. The clams, like most of the line’s seafood tapas including mussel in escabeche, sardines, white tuna, and an especially delicious sea urchin caviar, come from the rocky Galician coastline and are hand-collected by divers.

“For twenty years I have been bringing Spanish food into America. Everyone has always told me, ‘Chef we like this, we like that.’ Okay! Don’t tell me I’m not listening to you!” said Andrés.

Andrés explained that the line is a way to uniting the unique relationships he has developed throughout his career with the love of the tastes and flavors he has discovered. Uniting all of them under one umbrella and to say I support these products, we are all a big happy family, we are not only giving you the opportunity to experience Spain through the products, but you experience the products I grew up with, the products I love, the products I like to eat and serve my friends and family. “
