Cuca de Maçã is a coffee cake very popular in Southern Brazil, a variation of the German Apfel Streuselkuchen. It's made with a shortening-based dough, covered with apples, and topped with a sweet crumb topping. This mild cake can be unconventionally served with caramel sauce or dulce de leche, which of course, we recommend.
