Welcome Goya into your kitchen in a new way: with My Plate Mi Plato Cookbook: Healthy, Tasty, Affordable Latin Cooking.

Goya, America’s largest Hispanic-owned food company and a likely staple in your pantry, has partnered with The First Lady’s Let's Move campaign, and launched the book as part of a national push to help Americans cook, eat, and live in a healthier way.

The bilingual book has 10 complete meal ideas (no more last-minute meal planning while driving home), with 30 recipes from around Latin America and Spain, and some healthy Latin twists on American classics. Each of the meals has the USDA stamp of approval and incorporates all five food groups (that’s right, all of them). For curious minds, each recipe also includes nutritional information, cooking tips, and estimated costs. There’s even a cheat sheet showcasing all the Goya ingredients you can use to keep your diet healthy.

“The health and welfare of our consumers has always been an important issue for Goya,” says Carey Yorio, chef at Goya Foods.  “We created the My Plate cookbook to provide families with healthy, delicious and affordable recipes that can easily fit into everyday living.”

The cookbook is part of a Goya’s commitment to healthy lifestyles. In 2011, Goya became part of the campaign to launch Mi Plato, the Spanish version of My Plate, which helps individuals visualize balanced meals (the old food pyramid is gone and has been replaced with a plate symbol showing Americans how to mindfully build their meal).

The company has also created thousands of brochures, posters, and lesson plans for students nationwide. The Goya products proudly carry the My Plate icon, to help consumers easily identify healthy products, and the website is full of healthy tips (like what foods to eat more often!).

And you can have all this information, including the cookbook, for free. Yes, for FREE! To download your copy, simply click here.
